Medical Oncology services are provided by a multidisciplinary team. The team has Medical Oncologists, physicians, nursing Professionals and other paramedical practitioners. . This team provides care through all stages of cancer care including supportive care whenever needed. The Department undertakes management of cancer with chemotherapy and other biological therapies. Our staff encourages the patient and family members to become active participants in their care through patient education.

Our Oncology Department is equipped with best of radiodiagnostic including vaccum assisted advanced mammography unit which helps breast biopsy possible. Modern techniques in Medical Oncology like Immuno histo chemistry,Tuber Markers are utilized in this Unit. Both solid tumours and haematological malignancies will be manged in the centre. Facilities are available to undertake outpatient chemotherapies using specialized methods like use of catheters and chemo ports. In addition to routine chemotherapies, autologous and alllogeneic bone marrow transplation services are planned for the future .Management of haematological problems are also provided. Surgical Oncology Department undertakes all types of oncology surgeries and the surgical team is led by Dr. Jacob Kurien , MS,Mch.

We are also planning to establish preventive oncology programmes to bring awareness about cancer masses and screening programmes to detect cancer early.

Pain & palliative Care Unit

We have established mainly to render palliative care to the cancer patients who are in advance stages.This unit is headed by Dr.Maya.We are providing home care service utilising the services of our house surgeons and nursing staff.Our Medical students also extends massive support by rendering voluntary service.
