The last four decades have been witnessing to a remarkable transformation in the educational status of Muslims in kerala, supposedly the most backward in education. The driving force behind this effort has been THE MUSLIM EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY.

As on today, it is the largest Muslim service organization in the country with strength of more than 11,000.It not only has Units in Each and every District of Kerala, but also has spread to neighbouring states and Middle East countries.

During the initial years, the society’s main projects were for running the educational institutions, but as the years passed by ,MES has introduced numerous social welfare programs for the benefit of the community .The scheme of awarding scholarship to the deserving students was its first program and it was a great success as there were tremendous response from the community and the well-wishers. Encouraged by such an overwhelming support from the community for service activities, the society diversified its activities into various educational projects. the organizations spread to the neighboring districts of Calicut and within no time ,MES was in all the districts of kerala.As the society has no political links, people from all walks of life joined its fold and very soon it became a major platform for all sections of Muslims to take up social welfare activities and to start educational institutions.

The commitment of the Muslim educational society towards excellence in establishing educational institutions and the motivation our founder instilled in them were instrumental to take up the challenge of setting up medical institutions in Malappuram district with an outlook to mould medical professions by imparting quality medical education with the objective of improving the health care status of the society

MESAMS is a multi-disciplinary medico network comprising Medical College and its teaching hospital, Dental College, Nursing College and school and all have minority status. Academic and Extracurricular activities of campus institutions are organized under the parasol of MESAMS
