The Department of Orthopaedics undertakes all kinds of treatment for musle,ligament,bone and joint disorders. Areas of special emphasis include arthritis,hip replacement surgery, knee joint replacement surgery, spine surgery, sports injuries ,writs ,elbow & shoulder injuries,tumours,trauma and paediatric orthopaedics. Our Paediatric surgeons have diverse expertise and committed to providing effective solutions for people with a wide range of orthopaedic problems from broken bones to spinal disorders, from crippling arthritis to sports-related injuries.Minimally invasive and key-hole procedures are used to reduce pain and to ensure speedy recovery. We provide free surgery camps periodically for physically handicapped persons to improve their quality of life.

There are two independent Ortho.units to manage the Outpatient inflow .The department is well staffed with consultants well trained and experienced Professors and postgraduate consultants.
The services offered by the department include Primary hip,knee,shoulder and Elbow arthroplastyrevision, arthoplasties, spine surgeries including posterior lumbar interbody fusion, Lumbar discectomy and decompression, treatment of spinal infections, tumours,scoliosis and cervical spine problems. Newer areas of treatment include Sports injuries, cartilage injuries and minimally invasive surgery.
