The department provides daily out-patient services to treat psychiatric disorders,psychological problems,behaviour disorders,psychological assessment,psychotherapy and behaviour therapy,sexual therapy and marital therapy. A child guidance clinic (CGC) and Adolescent Clinic are functioning with the collaboration of the Paediatrics department.Electro convulsive therapy is also provided in needed cases.

Services of mental health trained nurses and psychiatric social workers are available to care and help the patients. Teaching( both for clinical and theory ) is done for III MBBS students as well as III year B.Sc. Nursing students.
