The department is headed by a highly experienced and qualified Professor and two senior Asst. Professors. For the treatment for respiratory diseases , the following modern equipments/facilities are also provided:

1. Therapeutic video bronchoscopy (Olympus CV-150)
   
2. Pulmonary function test and ABG Analyser.
   
3. Non-invasive and Invasive mechanical ventilators.
   
4. Intensive Respiratory care Unit.
   
5. Stop smoking clinic.
   
6. Asthma &Allergic clinic.
   

Apart from clinical care, the department is also closely involved in providing Undergraduate Medical education as well. The department holds both theory and discussion sessions for the students and teach them good patient care and management. National TB Programme (RNTCP) with a trained medical officer is also a part of respiratory medicine unit. Our college is a recognized microscopic centre under RNTCP.
